![]() I went up to my room and came back down to the front desk area to ask about my Platinum amenity. My friend walked out 50 yards to the next hotel and got a room. It was not even so much what she said, but how rude she was when she said it. They HAD rooms (the manager gave me my choice of smoking rooms), but they had not cleared the cancellation list yet and they told him he was going to have to wait. A friend was with me who needed a room but did not have a reservation. No apologies either from the front-desk manager either. I think they get a lot of smokers at this casino/hotel. My reservation and platinum profile is for non-smoking and all they had was smoking. It is actually owned by some casino/resort company called Park Place. I put the quotes around "Sheraton" because it is unlike any other Sheraton property I have been in. ![]() It's really not that bad of a drive and traffic was light. It is a 28 mile drive down US62 south from Memphis. There are no Starwood properties in Memphis - this was the closest that indicated. I stayed at the "Sheraton" in Tunica, MS two weeks ago on a Thursday night. ![]()
